David’s Bio

David J. Bassham is an organizational development consultant who specializes in training and coaching on subjects relating to interpersonal relationships. He specializes in harassment prevention, consulting with companies of all sizes and providing awareness training for their employees and in-depth training for managers. He also provides focused one-on-one training for individuals accused of sexual harassment or harassment aimed at any protected group.  He provides Executive Coaching for personal and professional development for middle and upper level managers. He also develops customized training programs to solve a variety of organizational problems such as interpersonal relationship issues, conflict and stress management, leadership and diversity.

As the principal in Bassham & Associates, he has provided training, executive coaching and consulting since 1998 for a variety of clients in fields that include aviation, manufacturing, commercial real estate, education, state and federal government. His client list includes Southwest Airlines, PepsiCo, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Marcus & Millichap, Clark-Cincinnati Steel, U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Forest Service, El Centro College, U.S. Pretrial Services, Mary Kay Cosmetics and others.

David is the author of Developing and Maintaining a Sexual Harassment Free Workplace: A Guide for Managers which was initially published in 2000 and revised as the 2nd Edition in 2008.

His love of learning and teaching has led him to be an Adjunct Professor at DeVry University for the last fifteen years, where he has taught various subjects, including Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Social Psychology, Critical Thinking and Business Ethics.  He received his M.S. in Psychology at the University of North Texas and his B.S. in Sociology from the University of the State of New York in Albany.

David has been a volunteer presenter for the Center for Nonprofit Management in Dallas and served as a member of the curriculum development team and presenter for the Dallas Non-profit Entrepreneur Academy. He is Past-President of the Board of Trustees of the Citizens Development Center, a non-profit agency that provides vocational and rehabilitation services to handicapped adults. He currently volunteers at the United Service Organization (USO) at DFW International Airport supporting the U.S. troops in the Middle East.
